Gift Ideas | Essential Oils

While I could write a blog about all the various presents I think would be good for the many people in your life, I’m not going to try. I have one awesome gift that I think most people would enjoy: essential oils (which I know you guessed from the title).

I know a lot of people call their mom when they’re not feeling well. I’m one of those people. Except now, my mom doesn’t offer me Advil or Sudafed when I’m sick, she offers essential oils.

I was introduced to essential oils years ago from my very good friend. I immediately fell in love. I’ve had great experiences with these oils and all their many benefits.

My favorite oils are:

Peppermint for aches and pains. I put peppermint on my stomach for menstrual cramps as well as sore muscles and it’s like icy hot but natural and more effective.

Lavender for when I need to chill the ef out. I don’t know if it’s psychosomatic but it works for me. I zen when I use lavender.

Orange for its positivity vibes. That’s right. It was a vibe. Trust me when I tell you it does. It’s a happy smell and I think it makes you happier when you have it on you.

Eucalyptus for my asthma. I still use an inhaler but on my bad days, I use eucalyptus to open up my airways further.

Melaleuca for pimples and ingrown hairs. It’s a great skin product to have. I use it for break downs and painful ingrown hairs. You wouldn’t believe how much it helps.

There are many places that sell essential oils and they all claim to be superior. I personally use DoTerra and I have no complaints. If you choose somewhere else, I suggest you look for “therapeutic grade” on the label.

I also want to share with you my go-to blend of oils that I have in my diffuser right now that is helping me relax and feel well (I have chronic stomach issues).

I’m going to call it the “Julia Blend” which is oh so original. It consists of eucalyptus, lavender, clary sage, ylang ylang, and wild orange. Clary sage and ylang ylang are great oils for female hormones. I will admit I don’t like those two on their own because they are pungent, but with the blend of sweet orange and relaxing lavender (which I’m currently low on and hoping my mom puts a bottle in my stocking this christmas) it’s a great blend that really helps me in particular.

A diffuser is also a fantastic gift idea. I use mine all the time and love it so much.

If you have any blends you love or a brand you support, please drop a comment below. Good vibes only please (I know there is some bad blood between some companies).

Until next time,

Julia
