Bookworm Probs

Cut to the chase, Julia! Okay, voice inside my head!

Losing Hours of Sleep

Anyone who loves to read knows that you would risk falling asleep at your desk the next day if it means you got to read the rest of the chapter that night. Sometimes even falling asleep with a book clutched in your hands

Missing Work/School to Read

When I was in 7th grade, I pretended to have a really bad cold for three days because I wanted to stay home and finish reading a book (if I admitted which one, you’d be ashamed).

Read at Work When You Should Be Working

One time at work (you don’t get to know which job), I was so close to finishing a book, so I set it up in front of my computer screen and sneakily flipped through the pages for like two hours during work. I’m not ashamed. No one caught me. No harm no foul.

Shopping for More Books

I can’t even say how many times I’ve gone into Barnes and Noble knowing full well I have multiple shelves, stacks, and dresser drawers full of books I haven’t read. Yet still I will buy four more while I’m out. I promise I’ll get to them soon.

Filling Your Room

Speaking of multiple shelves… I currently have a huge pile of books by my bed, a newly built shelf in my closet, floating shelves, and a large dresser jammed full of books. I would guess that I have upwards of 120 books in my relatively small bedroom.

Getting Stuck in a Loop

Y’all know me. I’m a Potter head. I have to control myself when I read Harry Potter because I will read the last chapter of the last book, wipe my tears, and pick up the first book. I did this for a year once.

Do you have any bookworm probs to share with the rest of the class? Let me know.

Until next time,

Julia

It’s only possible when the boss is out. Very small office with very few people!
