You know what the healthiest thing to do is? Love yourself. It’s beyond important for you to make yourself a priority and take care of what’s going on in your mind and your heart. I’ve had some time lately to reflect deeply on who I am, and I thought it would be really positive and wonderful to put it somewhere I can look back at when I need to remind myself. Here are a bunch of reasons why I think I’m amazing.
I can deal with pain without lashing out on people or blaming others.
I am ambitious. I never pictured myself living alone without roommates, yet here I am doing that damn thing.
I take and do with a plan. My aunt taught me this trait, I think. We call her “take-and-do” and my dad has recently been calling me the same thing.
I’m a planner. I will take and do, but I will make sure it is intensively planned first. I love lists and organization and knowing my next step.
I’m passionate about a lot of things and I follow through on most of those passions.
I know myself to my core. I know who I am and what I need and want. I think everyone eventually does come to know themselves, and I think for me, it happened early. I’ve known myself deeply for a couple of years.
I say what I mean and won’t make you read between lines. I don’t think I’m brutally honest, but I’m not going to give you coded language ever.
I have a sense of adventure that has lead me to some amazing life experiences.
I’m very creative. I realized recently while I was working on a song that I have been constantly creating new music even when I wasn’t officially sitting down with my notebook and guitar. It’s a part of my nature to create.
I’m extremely forgiving even when people don’t deserve it. You might think that’s a fault, but I think it’s an attribute.
I love without conditions.
I believe in magic and fate and all the beautiful, mystical things in this world.
I’m strong as hell. I’ve been told by someone I love so much that not a lot of people can go through what I’ve been through and still be in one piece. I’ll never forget those words.
I’m really glad I’m at a point in my personal growth that I have a long list of good things to say about myself. That wasn’t the case three or so years ago. I’m also really glad I’m doing this so I can always look back and remind myself that I’m a good person when I feel like crap.
Until next time,
Julia
