I’ll start this story by telling you about my trip to Liverpool, England. I was there for the International Beatles Week to see my dad and his band, The BBC Band play various venues including the Cavern (way cool and deserves its own blog). It was a very special trip and became even more special when I went on a tour to see popular Beatles locations. This included Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields, Eleanor Rigby’s grave, and the four houses of the Beatles.
Our tour guide was pretty well read in his Beatles history. He gave us interested facts at each location that I never knew before. We visited George Harrison’s house and that is where this particular story starts. He lived in this house for about 4 years and celebrated his 21st birthday there. This was 174 Macket’s Lane.
Our tour guide didn’t spend much time here as he didn’t have too many stories to tell about it. However, he did mention that George apparently wasn’t afraid of the fans that would come to his house unlike his other band mates who would avoid the girls at all costs. He would sit on the garden wall with his guitar and play for them (he also had a bit of a reputation of being quite smooth with ladies). I thought this was a nice little story I could share with my dad who plays all the George parts in his band. He was on a more intimate tour of John and Paul’s houses, so I snapped a quick picture to show him later which I will insert in just a second.
Later that day, my sister and I were showing our dad pictures of our tour and I was flipping through my pictures, eager to share the story about George. I opened the photo on my phone and went bug-eyed.

For me, I looked at the picture for a moment and saw a strange discoloration which almost looked like a cobweb, but there wasn’t a cob web to be seen in person. I would have remembered one that big… I went cold when I realized it absolutely without a doubt looks like a person sitting on the garden wall. I swear I can even see a guitar. This picture got passed around the dinner table for ten minutes one night, each of us agreeing that YES, that looks like a figure sitting on the wall and YES it absolutely could have been George. One of our friends said it was like George was sitting on the wall playing the guitar for me and my sister.
It absolutely spooked me. Still gives me chills. I’ve experienced paranormal things in my life before, so I am a firm believer in ghosts and spirits. We were traveling with a spiritual medium and she even agreed that she believes it was George’s spirit with us.
I have desperately searched the web for similar stories and I can’t find any. Any time I showed anyone this photo, I never had to point out the discoloration, everyone saw it immediately. Now, whether or not this is George Harrison’s ghost sitting at his home, I can’t say for fact, but I sure do believe it is.
Let me know what you think and please share this story for me because I want to see if anyone has seen anything similar!
Until next time,
Julia
P.s. Here’s a version that I played around with the exposure, contrast, etc. I didn’t photoshop at all just played with light and color.

Hey Julia…an amazing story that I believe rings true…as much as your Dad respects and honors Georges and the Beatles music how could his spirit not try to connect to show mutual respect…? Kindred spirits attract kindred spirits…!
